ASIC Design Automation Engineer

Job Description

This position is in the NGS 5G BBIC team. As an SoC Frontend Design Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for driving methodology and flows across multiple areas such as RTL simulation, FE integration and static checks such as Lint, Low Power. 

Tools that you will work with include RTL build, Static Checks (such and Lint, UPF checks, etc.), Simulation tools, GIT, etc.

As an experienced FE DA, you will be responsible for driving methodology, innovations, and productivity improvements in design flows while working with vendors on feature development and bug resolution. You will own front line support for one or more tools.

Qualifications:

You must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering OR Computer Science Engineering with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience in RTL design or Front End Design Automation.

Skills required:

-Front End Design flow Automation (Scripting, Design environment automation, EDA tools integration and automation, RTL Design flow development)

-Experience in RTL design methodology, logic design, simulation/debug

-Experience in HDL coding including Verilog and/or System Verilog

-Good knowledge scripting with PERL, TCL and shell scripting; Strong problem solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

-Experience on SOC integration, IP packaging and integration

-Experience supporting big and small team projects will be a plus
