Sr. Mgr, Human Resources Business Partner (India)

Job Description

This senior HR Business leader will partner with our India leaders and the organization to align our HR programs and processes to meet their business needs.  This individual will partner with the Global HR and functional Leadership Teams to implement organizational initiatives, facilitate organization and leadership development efforts, drive employee engagement, and work with employees and managers to resolve employee relations issues and address root causes.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the people management related agenda at our Bangalore Development site. She/He leads the change management projects and manages the HR related internal and external communication.  The business partner identifies and prepares development plans for the key employees and high potential employees and identifies employees ready for the promotion and rotates best talents across different functions in the organization.  The partner actively supports discussions and transfers best practices from different functions in the organization. The partner takes over the leadership in the people management area and acts as the facilitator for the management team.

  • Represent HR as a member of Intel Security India Executive staff and coordinate alignment of HR programs and processes for these organizations in support of their business needs
  • Receive assignments in the form of objectives and determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals
  • Provide HR presence and leadership to the India site, facilitating employee usage of our HR self-service model when possible, addressing site level concerns and issues, and working to build and guide effective employee engagement activities locally.
  • Provide guidance to others within the latitude of established company policies
  • Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect immediate organization(s). Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends 
  • Follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Frequently interact with supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company
  • Participate in, and sometimes lead, cooperative efforts among members of project teams
  • Must be able to work independently and take the initiative to address issues on a pro-active basis 
  • Partner with management and recruitment business partners to guide and troubleshoot talent acquisition efforts
  • Contribute to the development and effective implementation of career paths, and employee development programs.

Required Experience/Skills & Education:

  • Ability to confidently make and implement HR decisions in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume and often ambiguous environment.  Ability to navigate through the gray and drive results. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • 12+ years in a Human Resources Business Partner role with proven experience supporting senior executives at a Business Partner level
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree and/or PHR/SPHR a plus
  • Strong understanding of a range of HR disciplines including compensation, talent acquisition, performance management, employee development and employee relations
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and SAP or similar HR solutions database experience desired.


In addition, the ideal candidate must also have following competencies:
 

Business acumen: Intel strategy, business and product groups. Strong understanding of Intel business and its business groups' main goals and challenges; experience and knowledge of how Intel operates globally.
HR and Legal acumen: Processes, systems, precedence and best practices. Assess issues in the context of an organization's processes, structures and capabilities to develop holistic organization responses.

Business consulting skills: Solid design skills for both the organization and its talent. Ability to coach, mentor and advise where appropriate to help employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals.
Analytical capabilities: Ability to see the interconnectedness and cycles of all that surrounds you as well as draw accurate conclusions from data and determine appropriate interventions to address business challenges.
Stake holder management skills: Excellent contracting and stakeholder management skills with an ability to collaborate across management levels. Experience working with senior management and Executive levels is an advantage.
Communication skills: Strong interpersonal communications skills, including influencing and ability to encourage evolution.

Leadership skills: Strong proven leadership skills and experience; a natural teacher with many loyal followers.
Project management skills: Ability to execute foundational Project Management skills where needed and appropriate.
