Software Validation Engineer

Job Description

Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans for manufacturing station controller software and peripheral production equipment and applications. Works with program manager and software architecture owners to understand software design and failure mode scenarios and formulates test cases as well as the overall testing plan. Provides feedback on software design based on test case definition. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommends corrective action. Works with development engineers in resolution of problems. Communicates to stakeholders gaps and risks that may impact test schedule and requests help to resolve issue real time.


Qualifications: You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering,
- 5 years of experience in the following areas:
•Test simulation development and data modeling.
•Ability to understand integrated software and systems architecture, data flows, system and software design, write test cases based on the requirements and design.
•Good working knowledge of programming (.NET, XML), Windows OS, and databases to be able to write software tools for data validation. least .NET, XML technologies

Additional (Preferred) Qualifications:
- Experienced in: automated testing, test plan, test simulation,.
- Excellent communication and planning skills, self-starter, strong discipline and sense of urgency, good team working skills.
