Semiconductor Outsourcing Program Manager

Job Description
This is a strategic position in GSM Global Supply Management. Specifically, in the Outsourced Product Development OPD team within the Research and Development Strategic Sourcing RDSS group. OPD is accountable for outsourcing Intel's external development and partners with engineering companies to deliver outsourced services. This is a key role in bringing innovative procurement solutions to Intel and helps Intel's Business and platform groups meeting their product commitments.In this position, as a Program Manager, you will collaborate closely with Business Unit partners to develop and implement global strategies, supplier selections, supplier management, and contract negotiations. With your understanding of the design flow you will be responsible to ensure our outsourcing partners and system integrators SI are able to meet or exceed Intel's expectations on Cost, Quality, Availability, and Technology. You will have the opportunity to engage with senior management both internally and externally. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, coupled with the ability to influence our partners to drive the right decision and strategies for Intel. You will interact and influence a diverse group of global stakeholders and colleagues executives, leaders, technologists, suppliers, planners, buyers, engineers, finance, legal, marketing, program managers, etc., which provide exposure and insight to Intel strategies and technologies.


Strong candidates will demonstrate leadership, strategic thinking, coupled with strong analytical, project management, and influencing skills. Must be self-driven, and comfortable with ambiguity. A deep understanding of the R&D design flow across the different domains.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 6+ yrs of commercial/ technical experience and leadership, in the field of R&D, or Masters/MBA with 4+ yrs of related experience in semiconductor technology and leadership. Experience will include: - Driving complex business transactions from deal conception and program management and engineering team ramp, including collaboration with engineering, IP, product development and operations. - Diverse global, cross-functional, internal and external teams and stake holders.- Proven ability to deal with a high level of ambiguity and support multiple concurrent projects and activities Preferred/Additional Qualifications Experience in the following: - Technical procurement, Business Continuity Planning - Contracting, pricing, sourcing strategies - Role models personal accountability for achieving results
