PMIC Circuit Design Engineer

Job Description

As part of our Platform Engineering Group (PEG) in Bangalore, we are seeking Staff/Senior Analog Design Engineers to join our newly established PMIC team. 


Working in our PMIC team, you will: 

  • Translate system/architecture specifications to accomplish system goals and execute design strategy for power management ICs to power IOT S
  • Architect and design advanced PMIC IPs: HV Charging, Fuel gauge, Display Drivers, Haptics, etc.
  • Act as a senior member of the design team playing a leading role in designing innovative analog and mixed signal circuits and solving technical issues.
  • Translate the product requirements into optimal design topology choices.
  • Run design simulations to validate product performance using design kit models/libraries.
  • Support the customer interface in understanding application requirements and assuring technical feasibility during the product development phase.
  • Architecture, design, simulation and layout supervision of CMOS/BCD power management circuits meeting aggressive performance, area, power, and schedule constraints 
  • Be a key member of the team to deliver advanced Intel PMIC technologies
  • Top level integration, mixed-mode simulation, verification planning and implementation 
  • Develop and support DFT strategy and implementation 
  • Collaborate with test development and ramp to production 
  • Collaborate with bench validation team for silicon validation, debugging, etc.


Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D. with 5-15 years of experience
• Extensive analog design experience in power management circuits: DC-DC buck/boost regulators, Linear Regulators, Battery Charging and Management, Integrated Audio, Data Converters and Clocking circuits
• Hands-on experience in analog full custom design, detailed layout judgment and supervision capabilities
• Knowledge of portable device power management
• Ability to propose innovative and leading edge solutions
• Experience with silicon level debug and full life cycle exposure is preferred
• Good communication skills, ability to work in a team environment
• Experience of relevant CAD tools (Cadence flow) and IC design methodology
• Structured IC design methodology covering specification, implementation, design and test
• Experience in analog mixed-signal (AMS) design flow.
• Driven to achieve success and able to work in a team of expert engineers to reach clear design goals
