Test hardware development engineer

Job Description


Design circuits, schematics, and PCBs for high speed low cost testing applications.-Collaborate with mechanical development, test, manufacturing, PCB fab house to being up test hardware. -Define product characterization and test methodology develop techniques to characterize high-speed optical transmitters, receivers and transceiver modules above 10 Gb/s data rate-Cross-functional communications with manufacturing, product development and reliability teams in a fast-paced and challenging professional environment-Define production tester requirements per the product specifications, and enable the manufacturing production test capability.-Review and design implementations for product manufacturability and test DFM and DFT -Perform optical, electrical, and mechanical assessments of Photonic solutions with the goal of bringing the technology to a production environment-Equipment evaluation and make recommendations for capital procurement

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least a MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Science or related technical discipline
Minimum of 4+ years of experience with MS or 2+ years of experience with Ph.D
Relevant hands-on experience in the optical communication related testing and characterizations

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with optical communication components and/or systems, Ethernet and Fiber Channel applications and standards-Familiar with semiconductor lasers, electro-optic modulators, and PIN/APD receivers
