This is a people manager position in Close & Reporting function in the shared services. Person will lead a team of people including senior team leads & accountants. He / She will be responsible to develop, implement and maintain systems, policies & procedures, to ensure accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data within defined timelines. Should poses strong leadership and management skills to hire and retain high performing talent. He / She will be expected to partner with appropriate management levels to establish strategic objectives & plans for the organization. Ensuring robust financial controls, effective & efficient processes to protect the assets of the corporation is a fundamental expectation. Responsibilities will include handling statutory audits & leading adoption of new a/c standards such as IFRS & related regulatory compliance. As a first line manager, he/she is expected to coach the staff to navigate through complexities & develop their skill sets continuously. Should be able define Problems correctly and distill information into concise problem statements and identify root cause in individual or team setting & independently develop sustainable solution . Provide support in generating & review of Consolidate Financials of the Corporation. Handling Statutory & other Audits effectively is a key expectation of this role.This is a senior accounting position requiring the person to help resolve complex issues of the team & be able to provide expert opinion on complex A/C issues / positions.

Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Professional certification with 8 to 10 years of related experience. Having Shared Services experience will be an advantage. Key competencies include strong technical accounting acumen in US GAAP, reasonable experience and knowledge in IFRS & sound knowledge of overall regulatory requirements around accounting & reporting. Strong Systems aptitude in ERP. This position will require sound skills around leadership , organization development, building high performing teams. business partnership, influencing. Effective communication skills is essential given nature of the role that deals with variety of Internal & external stakeholders on a regular basis. Other relevant competencies include strategic thinking & driving impactful business results.
