Interns - CSC Security Operations

Job Description
Provide 1st level incident management related to security by proactively monitoring Intel environment on client/server environment. Cyber Security Center CSC Interns are responsible for identification, analysis and mitigation of threats to internal information technology systems or networks related to malware and cyber security events/alerts that are tied to Protect, Detect, Respond activities. Must conduct unstructured investigative analysis of events/incidents and are responsible for managing the event through its lifecycle. They should be capable of making decisions around prioritization of incidents based on the nature of the situation and should react with a heightened sense of urgency. Students will work on increasingly more complex security events as they learn the technologies associated with the supported area. Must work in a team environment that requires strong communication and partnership with other group members to diagnose and resolve security related events.


Qualifications

Should be working towards a technical MASTERS degree in Information Security / Computer Science / Information Systems or related fields. Must have good understanding of platform security fundamentals Hardware and Windows, Linux, strong understanding of Windows Operating system fundamentals and/or Windows Command Line Interface are a must. Good understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols like TCP/IP.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.English skills at an intermediate to advanced level both written and spoken with strong communication skills are a must. Must be an active student, and should be able to pursue 01 year Internship with Intel. Other preferred Requirements: CCNA training or certificationMCSA training or certificationCompTIA Security+ or higher security certification SAN, ISC 2
