Sr Commodity Manager

Job Description
Assembly Materials AM is looking for an experienced Sr. Commodity Manager responsible for Cost, Quality, Availability, Value Creation, and Supplier Development / Management for Assembly materials. Candidate will partner with AM Ops, technology development, Finance, Planning, and Legal to drive and optimize Cost/Quality within the Global Supply Management supply line for select components and / or raw materials. Responsibilities include - owning supplier relationships, negotiation and contracting, spends management, supplier health, conducting market analysis, developing and implementing commodity sourcing strategies, initiating and driving cost savings initiatives. May recommend cost saving proposals including makeversusbuy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria. At higher levels may require domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.


Qualifications

Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration and 10 or more years of supply chain/business/finance experience - an Engineering Degree and/or MBA is a plus. Prior knowledge developing and executing worldwide sourcing strategies, negotiating and procurement expertise, and a successful track record of successfully influencing internal and external management. Strong collaboration and partnering skills across organizations/geo's and with suppliers. Excellent interpersonal skills are required with a demonstrated ability to lead, influence, coach, facilitate, build teamwork and deliver results. Ideal candidate must be an effective communicator of both written and verbal information to all levels of management and across diverse cross-functional global teams, have a proven ability to work effectively in multicultural team environment, and be able to support multiple concurrent projects/ activities. Strong data analysis and presentation skills are a must.Additional Qualifications:* Prior knowledge developing and executing worldwide sourcing strategies, negotiating and procurement expertise, and a track record of successfully influencing at the Director/VP and CEO levels internally and externally. * Strong collaboration and partnering skills across organizations/geo's internally and with suppliers to develop win - win solutions and exemplary results. * Excellent interpersonal skills are required with a demonstrated ability to lead, influence, coach, facilitate, build teams while delivering results. * Ideal candidate must be an effective communicator of both written and verbal information to all levels of management and across diverse cross-functional global teams, have a proven ability to work effectively in multicultural team environment, and be able to support multiple concurrent projects/ activities.
