Senior User Experience Researcher

Key Responsibilities:


Responsible for applying Human Factors Engineering techniques and principles at all phases of product/technology development, including:

  • End user profiling & application of market research
  • Requirements gathering & definition
  • Product concept formation and qualification
  • Rapid, iterative user interface design, simulation, evaluation.
  • Usability planning, delivery, tracking and closure for hardware, software, and web projects.
  • Formal evaluation and experimental methods for field and lab design, collection, analysis, delivery HFEs at Intel act as design team members, lead UI evaluation efforts, partner effectively with other HFE groups and labs, and work closely with the Ease of Use community at Intel.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

Minimum qualifications: BA/BS in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.

Qualifications:

Innate sense of curiosity, excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills. Self-reflective and open to feedback.

Qualities: Highly self motivated, able to prioritize and focus on critical tasks. Independent, but take direction & input very well. Has excellent user interface design skills & have proven themselves to be creative problem solvers. Excellent verbal and written communications abilities augmented with strong presentation skills. Consensus builders that can flexibly articulate the value of user centered design in a fast moving, highly competitive environment.

Preferred qualifications:

6 years of relevant work experience, including experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices. Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase. Excellent working knowledge of statistics, analytics and the principles of experiment design
