Department Production Manager

Job Description

Role Description

This is a pivotal role in charge of the department scheduling, staff duties and on time deliverables.

Will create, communicate and coordinate the plan with all other team members

Update and communicates the plan at the daily and weekly Production meetings.

A major portion of this role is the management of headcount both daily and ongoing

Participates in the selection and ongoing assessment of team members

With Team Leader will manage the department budget and recommends event staffing levels based on complexity and deliverable.

Recommend on-going training for team members to ensure enrichment and technical readiness

Works closely with other departments to ensure shared agreement on and achievement of milestones

Responsible for all purchasing and shipments to sites/events

Qualifications and experience

BS Degree or equivalent

Project management experience.

Experience leading in a heavily matrixed organization

Comfortable working in a fast changing, multitasking environment

Knowledgeable with MS office SWs.

Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.

Demonstrated team leadership experience

Willing to work long hours, nights & weekends.

Preferred qualifications and experience

Background from broadcasting industry (production) – great advantage.

Passion for technology.

Passion for sport

Some technical/computer skills
