RF Engineer - Technical Lead

Job Description

To work as part of an extended development team situated close to customer design teams responsible for the smooth integration of Intel RF solutions. Utilize technical expertise in Intel's cellular RF solutions to lead a team of RF engineers to drive clear communications and peerless support to the customer.

Tasks will include:

- Directly responsible for RF technical topics covering early architectural discussions, development related solutions and through to issues found in high volume manufacture

- Provide technical link between customer, local support teams and remote RF development teams at all stages of project lifecycle

- Communicate requirements and issues to HW design teams, generate data to support investigations and aid quick resolution of customer issues

- Provide input to customer schematic and layout reviews to ensure optimal performance of Intel RF transceivers in customer design

- Work closely with cross functional teams on complex system issue to determine creative and effective resolution


Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar field with 10+ years of experience or Master of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar field with 8+ years of experience or related discipline
- 8 years of detailed RF experience in RF systems engineering or development role
- Detailed knowledge of the full RF subsystem and main RF modules with an ability to lead a team of engineers to support the integration of Intel solutions into customer products
- Experienced in current LTE architecture for carrier aggregation, envelope tracking and higher order modulation schemes
- Strong system level knowledge to ensure technical collaboration on current and future RF solutions with the customer
- Previous team leadership experience, either as project lead or functional manager
- Ability to guide junior team members and provide mentoring

Preferred Requirements:
- Direct customer support experience, joint issue resolutions with designers, support engineers and customers
