Senior Product Manager - Smart Lighting

Job Description
The Markets and Channels Acceleration (MCA) group incubates a portfolio of IoT growth markets and business models and drives IoT scale through channels. One key component of this organization's charter is to fuel new growth categories within the smart street lighting and smart cities and through adjacencies in those segments, as well as incubate additional market opportunities through the pursuit of new and sometimes nascent markets. To respond to these needs, New Market Development team within MCA works closely with SMG, NTG, DCG and other Intel groups to support customer opportunities. Your charter will be to aggressively pursue and incubate new revenue streams and establish thought leadership in Smart Street and Smart City segments. You will be part of a very pragmatic, small, entrepreneurial team that leverages resources across Intel and IOTG in a highly-collaborative way. The focus will be on smart lighting and smart lighting related segments. Any adjacencies in these areas such as smart parking, and smart city related segments will also be entertained. The focus will be on customer opportunities that are large, complex and non-standard and could lead to more scalable market positions for us. You should be able to thrive in a high ambiguity environment where think big, break through status quo, execute quickly and (if appropriate) fail fast will be the norm. - Define and drive quick triaging/evaluation/prioritization for new business opportunities. - Develop strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives. - Influence teams to drive solution definitions, balancing business needs, partner needs and technological capabilities - Identify market opportunities and define product vision / strategy - Work cross functionally across teams to devise a comprehensive roadmap to drive larger business goals - Develop programs with quantifiable objectives to measure results - Partner closely with all key stakeholders deliver against key objectives - Potentially represent business at senior executive reviews, with customers/partners and at industry events Some or all of these skills are strongly preferred: - New business incubation/product management/product ownership experience - Business development and customer engagement, market segment research and analysis. - Ability to quickly triage new business opportunities in the smart city/lighting segment for next steps. - Reasonably deep understanding of evolving IoT business models within the smart lighting and the smart cities area. - Having a familiarity with ecosystem in the Power/utilities companies with a focus on smart street lighting and adjacent industries is an advantage. Similar connections within the City and DoT is also an advantage. - Good understanding of LED and LED technologies as well as IP Camera and the technologies related to them would be required. - General knowledge of Connectivity, Wireless technologies and cloud based end to end architecture is a must. - Presenting succinct summary for new business models/opportunities to CXO level execs. - Ability to rapidly establish a close working relationship with key customers is essential. A robust understanding of customer usage cases, deployment architectures, and pain points. - Solid understanding of solutions management processes, know how to create and prioritize product and solution requirements, perform competitive analysis, feature/function prioritization and assessment. - Must be a very capable communicator and be comfortable working with a wide variety of corporate executives, sales, marketing, engineering, operations, customers and business partner. - Proven teamwork and people management skills; excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. - Business focus with strong technical background; well-developed analytical skills; excellent project management skills. - Ability to formulate business plans, competitive analysis and product marketing requirement documents. - Strong presence, dynamic c
