SSD Failure Analysis Engineer

Job Description
Responsible for identifying and researching component & system failures to improve product yield, quality and/or reliability. Evaluates the electrical and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, subcomponents, and systems to determine the root cause of failure. Analyzes failure reports and recommends corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of problems. Uses all standard electronic test equipment digital/analog such as Logic analyzer, ICE, ITPO oscilloscope and test systems to do board failure analysis and debug. Maintain necessary records and reports. Performs other related duties as required or as directed.


The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Masters in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science and must have unrestricted right to work in the US without sponsorship. Candidate must have at least intermediate PC skills, knowledge of CMOS transistor level circuit and logic design skills, analog circuit analysis skills and some amount of hardware lab experience performing circuit analysis using an oscilloscope. Preferred Experience:Experience with non volatile memory technologies and components.Experience with scripting languages such as PERL or Python.Experience in the use of bench test equipment and software for failure isolation in components or systems.Experience with printed circuit board & system design.
