Senior Graphics Software Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Graphics SW Engineer will be responsible for Graphics Simulation and Modelling. In this position you will be joining the Graphics Simulator team (Fulsim). This team is responsible for VPG hardware modeling of 3D graphics, media, and display engines, as well as shader compiler, in C/C++. You will work on spec definition and algorithm development (along with architects, micro-architects, and Design Engineers), and own the software design and validation of new pipeline features, while building expertise in developing a simulator that enables Intel's future success in the graphics market. You will also work closely with RTL, validation, SV, graphics driver, and/or silicon debug teams as this is the primary reference model for VPG pre-silicon and post-silicon validation activities.


Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience is preferred. Your degree should be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Exceptional C/C++ coding and debugging skills with practical experience in Object Oriented programming
Thorough understanding of data structures and algorithms
Excellent communication skills with positive attitude
A self-starter with strong problem solving and analytical skills
A team player who is extremely self-motivated and has strong planning skills

Preferred qualifications:
Experience with IA assembly, Perl, Python and/or Ruby
Microsoft Windows and/or Linux programming/scripting skills
Solid knowledge of graphics standards and/or media/display specs
Solid knowledge of graphics/media/display and/or CPU/GPU architecture
Solid knowledge of 3D and/or 2D graphics algorithms would be an added advantage, as is a good knowledge of Intel Graphics Hardware architecture
Knowledge of compiler development will be another added advantage
Understanding of digital electronics and logic design
Experience of supporting external customers
