Graphics Virtualization Expert Engineer f/m

Job Description

If you want to become part of this growth story, come work with us as a Graphics developer who will focus on all major areas of the graphics domain (display, render, media), imaging (IPU, ISP) with a special focus on graphics virtualization. You will be exposed to the cutting edge of Intel's graphics technology and the projects that you will work on will be used in multi-million dollar projects for leading OEMs in the automotive infotainment and instrument clusters market. This role is about to design and develop VT solutions in SW for Software Defined Cockpit (SDC) and Automated Driving (AD) platforms. As a software development engineer, you'll be responsible for developing multiple aspects of graphics software stack on Linux/Android, and RTOSs. Responsibilities will include the design and development of compelling software features, performance measurement and supporting several customers through workshops. This position requires involvement in all phases of design from pre-silicon emulation/simulation through post-silicon product launch. The individual is expected to work with various partners and teams to resolve issues as well as recommend future hardware and software improvements.


Qualifications

The individual must demonstrate the ability to effectively work with cross geo teams of software validation/development engineers, Graphics Hardware Architect/Designers, product validation, marketing and support teams to productize & innovate cutting edge graphics features. In this position, the candidate will be defining software design and developing prototypes as needed for new graphics features & new technology for next-generation Intel graphics devices. Candidate responsibilities include, but not limited to: - 3+ years' worth of programming experience. BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. - A passion for programming and solving tough problems through out-of-the-box thinking. - Expert in C and C++. Basic Linux scripting knowledge is helpful. - Work in Kernel Mode Driver development interacting closely with hardware teams. - Self-starter and having the ability to work with limited supervision. - Graphics HW architecture knowledge and/or Graphics SW programming will be considered a big advantage. - Camera pipeline (Video-In) will be considered a big advantage. - Virtualization experience and specifically graphics virtualization, GPU sharing by multiple domains will be considered a big advantage.- Experience in the automotive business would be beneficial
