Federal Tax Senior Analyst

Job Description
Overview: This position is responsible for assisting with the timely and accurate preparation and filing of the U.S. consolidated federal income tax return, estimated tax payments and related compliance matters and tax provision process. The Federal Tax Senior maintains a working knowledge of ASC740 and supports the Federal Tax Manager and Federal Tax Director through quarterly tax provision process as well as forecasting of cash taxes and effective tax rate. The Federal Tax Senior will be responsible for data gathering processes, preparation of tax calculations, and tracking progress towards completion of the compliance plan.Responsibility detail: Assist the Federal Tax Manager in the quarterly/annual global tax provision process with the preparation of the U.S. federal domestic provisionIdentify and document book-to-tax differences, calculate deferred tax balances, track 754 step-up and partnership allocationsIdentify issues and perform tax researchAssist with documenting uncertain global tax positionsGather information and prepare the consolidated U.S. federal income tax returns/partnership returnsUpdate the federal tax calendars, track, and communicate progress towards completion to ensure that all required due dates are metAssist in the preparation of responses to federal taxing authority information requestsEstablish/foster relationships with Accounting, Finance, and other tax personnel for efficient data gathering and management of financial reporting and compliance processAssist with special projects as needed


Qualifications

3-5 years experience in corporate taxation. Experience serving tax provisions for large global public companies, Big 4 experience, and SEC reporting experience a plus.Experience with tax compliance systems OneSource preferred.BA/BS in Accounting or FinanceMust work well both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environment and against established deadlines.Strong leadership, organizational, verbal and written communications skills.
