Sr. SOC RTL Design Engineer - Clock and Reset

Job Description

As part of Intel, we will continue to apply Moore’s Law to drive the future of field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology.  The Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) has been delivering industry-leading custom logic solutions to customers since inventing the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984.  In order to take advantage of the many opportunities that we see in the future for FPGA’s, PSG is looking for great engineers to join our teams.

As a senior member of the SOC-FPGA design team, you will be responsible for the micro-architecture and RTL design of the clock and reset logic in a complex ARM-based system.  You will work with architects, software engineers, verification engineers and physical designers to define and implement the clock and reset logic for our unique SOC-FPGA products, while creating a culture of industry standard best practices and methodologies.


  • MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience architecting, writing and verifying complex RTL logic for SOC designs.

Additional (Preferred) Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience designing clock and reset control logic for a complex SOC, preferably ARM-based.
  • Previous work experience with physical design engineers to assist with the implementation flow, eg clock tree synthesis, floor planning and implementing ECO fixes.
  • Previous work experience with verification engineers on simulation or emulation flows and familiarity with industry standard verification methodologies (UVM, assertions etc).
  • Previous work experience with AXI or other standard bus interface protocols.
  • Previous experience scripting in Perl, TCL, or Python.
