Axxia Network Processor Development

Job Description

The Processor Development Engineer requires a breadth of disciplines and responsibilities in supporting processor implementations for the Intel Axxia Processor Engineering development team. Responsibilities will include the front end development support of high-performance embedded processors and subsystems in deep submicron CMOS technologies (16nm, 10nm) through RTL development, synthesis and constraint development, design validation using test benches and customized test cases. This individual will support the productization of complex, multi-clock domain processor designs which are built using ARM IP. Candidate must be able to interpret synthesis and timing analysis reports, and specify design changes to achieve timing closure. Responsibilities will be both individual and team based with ability to work cross functionally across the organization.Axxia is a growing organization, and key to Intel's 5G roadmap delivery. We deliver high-performance wireless network ASICs and custom SoCs to our clients, so they can expand the network for growing consumer use.The Axxia processor team has front-end and back-end development teams, working do design ARM-based hard cores and subsystems for Axxia products.


Qualifications

Required: BSEE/MSEE with 10-20 years of strong experience in custom silicon RTL development or embedded processor development, subsystem development, pre-silicon verification of logic. Experienced with the use of Synopsys based verification tools, including the ability to customize and manage the design flow through the use of scripts and routines. Experienced in Verilog RTL development, RTL verification using Verilog and System Verilog, UVM/OVM based verification, integration of logic from multiple sources with a range of IP from custom-designed to 3rd party. Demonstrated ability to work through technology challenges and implementation issues associated with high-performance designs. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills to work closely with other team members and demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly. Demonstrated mentorship and team leadership ability. This candidate will help support and develop members of the team. Familiarity with project planning, the ability to work closely with managers and staff-level technical contacts, interpret client requirements, and form project plans to execute to committed schedules and functional requirements. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills and ability to work closely with other team members and demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly. Specifically, the candidate will be expected to produce IP specifications and plans that are customer-viewable and product quality.Not required but desirable: UVM or OVM verification architecture definition Working knowledge of ARM IP and core architectures.C or ASM based coding skills
