Firmware/BIOS Engineer

Job Description
The Platform Software & Infrastructure group within SSG is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team developing and supporting firmware. We develop, maintain and support UEFI, Coreboot and other firmware for embedded and IoT applications and devices. This includes the firmware, tools and infrastructure to support the development, internal and external communities for products from the data center to embedded and IoT edge devices.The duties include the development of platform BIOS, reference code, firmware and related documentation for Intel silicon products such as next generation chipsets and processors. Responsible for authoring BIOS/Firmware specifications, creating chipset reference code and developing / supporting platform BIOS and Firmware for Intel's CPUs and chipsets. Work closely with Intel silicon design teams and be responsible for all software and BIOS related issues during the planning, development, and validation stages of the program.


Qualifications

BS or MS in CE, CS or related fieldEmbedded firmware development experienceWorking knowledge and experience with source control, Subversion, Git, etc.Knowledge and experience with Intel ArchitecturesAbility to gather requirements and document specificationsExperience in developing in an Open Source environmentExperience with Windows and Linux development environments
