Director, Marketing Measurements and Analytics

Job Description
The Director of Marketing Measurements and Analytics position is an exciting opportunity to build out a world class analytics team and set of capabilities to support critical marketing and product decisions. This position resides in Intel's Global Insights and Analytics function, within the Global Marketing and Communications organization. The right candidate will be tasked with extracting insights from a combination of behavioral, transactional, syndicated and survey-based data. Learnings will be used to enhance Intel's understanding of technology adoption and product success predict shifts in end-users behaviors measure the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing in driving sales and improve the time to insights that impact business decisions.Responsibilities include:Adopt best practices in establishing business analytics platforms, systems and approaches. Identify and interpret intersections among internal and external data, predictive models and current trends to drive business intelligence, strategies and program development. Determine appropriate statistical models to evaluate data sources required to answer specific business questions.Evaluate and leverage data collected within the analytics platform to inform of strategies and trends emerging. Perform statistical programming and analysis, including measurement strategies for quantifying value generated and the financial impact ROI of marketing. Partner closely with IT, digital marketing, media and sales teams to derive analytical insights that drive more effective marketing and increased sales. Foster a success-oriented environment of accountability for the analytics team, including expanding on current capabilities, recruiting, managing workload across team, and developing analysts. Coordinate staffing with senior management for the analytics team, including the identification of outsourcing and consulting opportunities. Champion insights to internal teams and senior executives to drive action, improvements, and accountability.


Qualifications

Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Operation Research, and Statistics or equivalent expertise.5-10 years of demonstrated management experience, including the ability to build effective teams and develop direct reports.Strong analytical skillset: uses predictive modeling, statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data. Develop software, algorithms and applications to apply mathematics to data, perform large scale experimentation and build data driven apps to translate data into intelligence, solve a variety of business problems and enable business strategy. Assists business with casual inferences & observations with finding patterns, relationships in data. Must possess strong understanding of internal business segment stakeholders and possess strong written and communication skills. Requires expertise in relational database structures, research methods, machine learning, Cloud based technologies, Big Data technologies i.e. Hadoop , HBase, Lucene/Solr, analytics packages i.e. R, Mahout, Matlab, Octave, Weka, scripting languages i.e. Python, Perl, programing languages i.e. Java, C/C++, SQL. Experience and interest in data visualization, reporting, and tool building in order to scale operations and increase visibility to the data/results. Excellent team player, who values other views and can earn stakeholder confidence quickly and exert influence. Ability to multi-task and work in cross-functional, fast-paced environments with the pressure of multiple deadlines, multiple vendors and complexity.Exceptional presentation skills, including proven success with executive presentations that requires taking complex data sets and boiling down into meaningful insights.A passion for driving insights into action, including excitement about the opportunity that "Big Data" presents.
