Intel Security has amazing opportunities ahead! In the next several months, we anticipate transitioning to a stand-alone company. This will help to position us as one of the largest pure-play cybersecurity companies in the world. During this transition, we will continue to have a bold vision to achieve, which we can’t achieve without talented people.

You will work as part of an international team of writers to plan, write, and edit customer facing instructional and maintenance content for electronic and web-based publications.

The position is based in our Aylesbury office, working with two other writers. You will collaborate regularly with editors, localisation co-ordinators, engineers, product managers, project managers, and other specialists in North America, Europe, and Asia. Using DITA 1.1, XMetaL, and a content management system to produce documentation that conforms to a defined process and style guide.

Content is technical by nature, supporting our customer base of Security Administrators across all industries and government sectors. You must be a self-motivating and self-managing writer who can learn complex technologies quickly and manage the entire process of writing top-quality documentation from start to finish. You will work with product teams to define documentation requirements and gather technical content. You will produce drafts for review and produce a final release. Regular deliverables include installation and product guides, online Help and release notes.

  • BSc in a computing related degree, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of technical writing experience, writing user documentation
  • Excellent planning, research and writing skills
  • Time management skills
  • Structured authoring skills
  • Solid knowledge of single-source documentation projects

Good to have:

  • Experience working with localization specialists
  • Experience authoring in XML
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Experience with software, hardware, and virtual environments
  • Experience in writing as part of an Agile development team
  • Ability to innovate, seek process improvements, and come up with solutions
