Compiler Developer / SW Engineer

Job Description
The candidate will be a member of a cross-disciplinary team consisting of compiler developers and workload specialists in Intel's Developer Products Division (DPD) that conducts pathfinding in compiler technology. The team will prototype, develop, test and analyze compilation technology utilizing LLVM for architectural and compilation technology investigation related to highly parallel spatial computing architectures. This includes identifying technology needs, prototyping and evaluating new algorithms and approaches.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Prototyping and development of compiler optimizations and features - Performance analysis of kernels, benchmarks, and applicationsQualified candidates must be self-starters and able to work productively in situations with evolving requirements. In addition, they must have strong communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work with a variety of hardware and software specialists.This position involves work on a U.S. Government contract which may impose certain security requirements:-If you are a U.S. citizen, the government may require that you certify that you are a U.S. citizen.-If you are not a U.S. citizen, the government may require you to pass a security check before you can be approved to work on the project.Please note that any offer by Intel for this position is conditioned upon meeting and/or passing the U.S. government's security check requirements should the government impose these requirements.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work, classes, research, or relevant previous job or internship experiences.Minimum Qualifications:-A Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical discipline.3+ months experience in:-Experience with compiler design-Experience with software performance tuning-Strong C++/C programming skills-Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithmsApplicants must have the legal right to work in the US without sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:-Experience with LLVM-Experience with performance tuning of HPC applications-Good knowledge of compiler optimizations-Good knowledge of x86 architecture-Experience with parallel programming models and environments such as MPI and OpenMP-Understanding or experience with FPGAs
