Job Description

Intel's Saffron Group is seeking a highly qualified Head of Professional Services and Software Implementation to perform a lead role in managing the implementation projects of our end to end cognitive reasoning solutions. The ideal candidate for this customer facing role will have led a professional services team of consultants for a large enterprise software company, global system integrator or consulting firm.In this role, the Professional Services Leader will be responsible for the overall delivery of Saffron's software solutions to clients, managing and building a world class team of AI and Industry software consultants, specializing in the implementation of Saffron's memory-based AI platform. Growth of the team includes expanding from a US-centric focus to a global delivery capability - working with Intel's country teams and partners, designing and implementing standardized methodologies and business processes, procedures and documentation, and providing input into product management to reflect customer and field gathered requirements to improve Saffron's platform - from data unification to end user applications. In addition to directing and managing Saffron's software implementation teams the Professional Services leader will work closely with partner delivery teams to insure strong collaboration and unification between a Customer, Saffron and our mutual partner. The Saffron platform may include partner products which may be industry/use case dependent. Roles within the Professional services team include Client Engagement Leads, Project Managers, Solutions Architects, Business Analysts, Industry Experts, Data Scientists, Integration Engineers and Solution Consultants.Specifically, the Head of Professional Services will: -Lead client implementation service delivery providing management and oversight of implementation projects and staffing including project assignments, capacity planning and project profitability. -Be responsible for the overall leadership in managing the implementation projects of our end to end software solutions including:maintain visibility to customer satisfaction through complete control on project schedules, budgets and related risk issues facilitate timely decisions to maintain project schedule and budget identify project risks early and assist by providing pragmatic and timely recommendations for risk avoidancework with the client and project team to set realistic project goals and expectations then over delivercreate and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships -Be responsible for the overall leadership of the implementation team globally. -Directly supervises implementation consultants, business analysts o conducts employee performance reviews/evaluations and career development discussions o recommends performance ratings o trains and coaches to develop and enhance the performance and skills of team members o participates in the interviewing, selecting, hiring and firing of employees ensures training of new staff o creates and maintains project budget, assists with implementation plans and modifying when necessary to include agreed revisions to project scope drives results in alignment with business objectives leads/facilitates internal meetings as well as client meetings in support of implementation and sales. -Oversee and execute process improvements and the development of policies, procedures, methods, and tools in support of delivery. -Responsibilities include: o supporting pre-sales processes and working with sales and account management professionals to win new business o implementing business proposal review and refinement recruiting and staff development. -Establish strategic plans along with other business leaders and maintain strong relationships with solutions delivery, the sales team, client and account managers and other business leaders in support of cross-product businesses -Serve as a core member of the Management Team. In this capacity, provides management with regular project updates serves as a critical advisor to the team as an Implementation leader and helps to set the direction for the implementation and professional services team, with a special emphasis on how and what we implement. -Maintains reporting on resource capacity and utilization, implementation billing forecasts and key new account wins.-Work well in a virtual, remote environment with the Saffron team and her Customers as well as travel to work on-premise within a customer's or partner's environment.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, high energy, leader who possesses a deep understanding of the software industry and has direct consulting and professional services leadership experience, experience growing a team of technical and industry consultants across geographies, the instincts to engage directly with a team and a customer when necessary and the ability to fluidly manage many projects and activities at any one time. The Ideal candidate will have worked within multiple industries, exhibit a deep understanding of advanced analytics with experience in working with software applications applying machine learning and cognitive computing analytics.This position requires close collaboration with geographically diverse teams to ensure successful delivery of projects. Candidate must have necessary skills to work in a fast-growth and dynamic environment. Bachelor's degree. MBA from Top B-SchoolMinimum 7-10 Years' experience in Software Consulting & Professional Services management/leadership roles.Experience quickly scaling consulting and professional services teams and partner delivery teams, both in bench strength and geography.Ability to switch among multiple projects in short periods of time and sometimes support multiple simultaneous projects.Understanding of Analytics, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Master Data, and Big Data business requirements.Experience working across multiple industries - e.g. financial services, manufacturing, life sciences. Ability to coach, mentor, develop, and lead diverse teamsAbility to communicate and influence across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
