IC Design Timing Modeling Engineer

Job Description

As IC Design Timing Modeling Engineer, you will work on creating block level timing models for Intel PSG's next generation FPGA and SoC product lines. As part of the FPGA IC Design team, you will also be expected to contribute to development and deployment of state of the art block level static timing analysis and timing modeling methodologies in collaboration with Software, Circuit Design, Product Development, Design Automation, and Product Engineering teams. You will then be required to work in a hands-on capacity executing against these methodologies to model and verify block level and full-chip timing. You will also be involved with correlation of timing verification and models with spice and silicon. You will utilize your design experience and interpersonal skills to efficiently solve technical issues, drive continuous improvement, negotiate and clearly communicate technical tradeoffs with a diverse cross-functional multi-site team.


Qualifications

The successful candidate's minimum qualifications will include the following:
o MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent with 2-3 years of hands-on experience
o Very strong fundamentals in device physics, digital circuit design, Verilog & process technology
o Knowledge of scripting for design automation in one or more of the following languages is a must: perl, tcl, and python
o Must be familiar with timing modeling, STA concepts and Liberty library format
o Outstanding communication, teamwork and analytical skills are an essential part of this role
