Manager, ASIC Engineering

Job Description

As the manager of a dedicated ASIC design, verification, and implementation team, you will be part of Intel’s Programmable Solution Group (PSG), working on complex ASIC and FPGA designs in leading edge process nodes.  Responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead a team of design, verification and implementation engineers locally, to develop a high-speed subsystem for a new ASIC project. 
  • Oversee all aspects of development of the subsystem.  For each functional area, collaborate with the local technical lead to assign tasks, monitor progress and track deliverables.
  • The engineers will dotted-line report to functional managers in their respective field, in San Jose.  Therefore, close collaboration with the remote design, verification, implementation managers will be critical, to stay in sync on project status, resolve critical issues in a timely manner. 
  • Clear planning of project stages and identify critical milestones. 
  • Coordinate with full-chip team on full-chip schedule and integration milestones, ensure high-quality and on-time delivery.  Focal point of contact with full-chip team.
  • Working with remote functional managers to staff the local design, verification, and implementation team. 
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, high-quality execution in a fast-paced environment.


BS in EE
