Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG, formerly Altera) is seeking to recruit an experienced software engineer to join its Networking System Solutions team based in High Wycombe, UK. This team creates reference solutions, reusable IP components and turn-key design services, using Intel FPGAs, for top customers and strategic opportunities in the networking space.
Networking equipment is increasingly software based in nature, utilizing technologies such as DPDK and relying on virtualization infrastructure such as Open vSwitch, QEMU and KVM. Many activities in Intel PSG augment, offload or accelerate this software with programmable logic.
The successful candidate will have hands on experience developing (rather than using) these technologies. They will help architect, develop and validate systems based on these technologies, alongside industry leading FPGA developers. They will have the opportunity to work with some of Intel's top networking experts from all around the world on opportunities for tier-1 customers. There will also be opportunities to work with standardization bodies and the open source community
At Intel, we take pride in creating an energetic and dynamic work environment that is driven by ingenuity and innovation. We believe the growth and success of our company is directly linked to the growth and satisfaction of our employees. That is why Intel is committed to a work environment that is flexible and collaborative and allows our employees to reach their full potential.
Intel PSG's programmable solutions enable designers of electronic systems to rapidly and cost effectively innovate, differentiate and win in their markets. We offer FPGAs, SoCs, CPLDs, and complementary technologies, such as power solutions, to provide high-value solutions to customers worldwide.
