SOC Logic Validation Engineer

Job Description
This is a senior engineer position for SOC design validation. Responsibilities will include but are not be limited to:

Reviewing IP component specification, developing and executing full chip and/or cluster level validation/coverage plans
Architecting testbenches and implementing verification tools
Developing both pre-silicon (RTL & gate level) and post-silicon validation tests (including validation FW)
Debugging test/regression failures, and working with the RTL design team to drive bug resolutions
Driving verification execution to meet project milestones
Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers on the team.
Working with the Product Development Engineering (PDE) team to help facilitate silicon characterization testing
Strong written/verbal communication skills are a must, as you will be working, influencing and collaborating with teams in distributed locations.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of relevant industry experience in:
A thorough understanding of and hands-on experience with validation methods required for complex ARM SoC designs, including software based techniques
In-depth understanding of ARM and SoC architecture, including AXI/ACE and APB bus protocols
Competency in C/C++ or Assembly language (preferably ARM) programming
Substantial experience working with VCS or other 3rd party simulators
Competency in using Verilog/System Verilog as a verification language
Power aware verification using UPF or CPF

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with OVM/UVM verification methodologies
Proficiency in scripting languages, e.g. Perl/TCL/Python
Knowledge of formal verification techniques and tools
Hardware emulation/acceleration experience
Clock domain crossing verification
DFT verification
