Custom Layout Tools & Methodology Application Engineer

Job Description
Intel Custom Foundry (ICF), a growing TMG business which provides selected external customers strategic access to Intel's leading edge process technology and manufacturing services, is looking for custom layout tools methodology application engineer. The custom layout tools and methodology application engineer will be the primary interface and first line support to external ICF customers and vendors in the area of layout tools and methods. The custom layout tools and methodology application engineer will travel to customer/vendor site to provide training and support on layout tools and methodology in Intel process nodes. The responsibilities of this position include: - Deliver high quality solutions, services and support to our external foundry customers and vendors for the layout capabilities we deliver to them - Quickly ramp our first time customers and external eco-system partners in layout tools and methodology to enable high quality and proficient layout design on Intel-based technology - Work with global ICF development teams to define the layout design capabilities and solutions needed to deliver the most competitive solution for our Foundry customers - Improve overall quality of service to our foundry customers through enhanced technical documentation and efficient customer issue resolution processes.


- Bachelors or Master of Science/Engineering degree in the relevant field with 5+ years of experience in layout design tools and methodology - A wide breadth of layout knowledge is required and experience with external layout tools and solutions is a plus - Ability to develop layout script, macros and solutions is important in this role - In depth understanding of product development on leading edge process technologies with a strong preference for hands on experience with Intel process technologies - Excellent communication skills for communicating and delivering training on Intel process requirements to customers/vendors - Proven track record of uncompromising customer orientation to deliver leading edge solutions - Ability to work effectively with matrix global teams in a variety of geographies
