ATTD Quality and Reliability Thermal Enabling Area Expert
Job Description Microelectronic Quality Reliability Engineers provide project management, product, process design/development and sustaining support for integrated circuit or semiconductor assemblies, various other electronic components, sub systems and/or completed units. Responsible for physical understanding, model prediction and enhancement of quality reliability for advanced products, transistor, interconnect, assembly/package and testing process. Defines Si/assembly/package qualification requirement and responsible for product qualification or technology certification. Defines/develops and conducts stress tests, DFX requirements and research on individual technology components as well as integrated circuit/products. Develop cost effective production monitoring and screening schemes to ensure process is stable and products meet committed quality reliability performance.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:- QR Area Expert for Thermal Enabling of Bare Die SOCs.- Validating Intel thermal enabling Reference design and manufacturing methods to support PRQ decisions of bare die SOCs through thermal, thermos-mechanical and mechanical risk assessment.- Influencing SOC thermal enabling design, mfg process and material decisions through the development of quality and reliability risk assessments leveraging historical data, analytical modelling capabilities and fundamental technical knowledge.- Statistical analysis of quality and reliability data extracted from products and assembly test vehicles to predict OEM/ODEM manufacturing risk as well as field reliability performanceProviding technical inputs on the design of silicon test chips and package assembly test vehicles- Designing and executing (Thermal, Thermo-mechanical and Mechanical) experiments (includes Quality and Reliability risks) to identify new failure mechanisms, determine fundamental technology enveloped and define root cause solutions.- Development and execution of efficient, robust and salient technology certification strategies and plans- Clear communication of results and the impact, associated risks and recommendations within the QnR and with partner organizations.- Collateral development for external and internal customer communication.- Address Customer technical issues and concerns as needed within Intel Guidance space.- Supporting early product high volume production as part of technology transfer to high volume factories- Development of improved QR methods and business processesThe ideal candidate will exhibit the following behavioral traits:- Strong technical and analytical problem solving.- Abil
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiencesMinimum Qualifications:- The candidate must possess a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or Physics.Preferred qualifications:- Experience extracting, analyzing and interpreting product sort and/or class test content.- Experience in empirical data collection and statistical data analysis, reliability statistics and design experiments.- Awareness of semiconductor packaging assembly operations and flip chip package failure modes and mechanisms would be an added advantage.
