Functional Safety Design Engineer - Automotive Systems (f/m)

Job Description: Are you a stubborn person who is not afraid of searching for a needle in stack of hay?Do you love the border between development and product?We are looking for a practical Functional Safety Design Engineer who will design automotive systems with Power supply, SOC, memory interfaces, FPGA, IOC required to be Functional Safe .The candidate will be responsible for dedicated system architecture, design and validation in the Hardware design group.


Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Experience of Hardware Design and execute processes required to ISO26262 or Aviation or DO-x or IEC60601Experience in Automotive or Aviation complex hardware system design (high speed signal and power integrity requirements)Self-motivated, well organised, excellent communication and influencing skills (good communicator, motivator, listener) A strong analytical mind with first-rate problem solving skills. Very experienced in usage of latest measurement equipment (DSO, FRA, NWA...).Evaluate early customer requirements (RFI, RFQ phase) as well as change requests (CR's) and derive technical specifications Create technical specifications for third party suppliers based on customer and internal requirements Define the input requirements and specifications for the layout, simulation and validation engineers and support them to get their work done in time.Good skills in EMI, EMC, RF.Ability to work independently and successfully under tight project deadlines within cross-functional internal, external and sub-con teams Support TSD internal and external departments (architecture, engineering, marketing, quality, manufacturing and purchasing) during the product development and sustaining phase. Support product improvement or cost reduction activities as well as customer return processesObserve the market for key technologies like DDR memories and work together with suppliers and internal departments to formulate our needs for the transportation market.Initiate and/or support competitor analysis and technical benchmarking activities QualificationsGraduate Hardware Engineer in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Master at University or at University of Applied Sciences) At least 10 years experience in development of products in automotive industry, preferably in the field of IVI systems The ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Good written, presentation, and communication skills in English and German
