Extraction Kit Development Engineer

Job Description
Job Description: Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components. Responsibilities may include: the design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization, documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components, performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.


As a Foundry Extraction Development Engineer you will have the opportunity to: Work on the latest Intel process and define key extraction flow and methodologies Partner with EDA tool vendors on enabling EDA tools on Intel process. Create flows/scripts and testcases to analyze and test design methodologies. Work with internal and external customers to resolve customer design challenges. Scope and lead projects Evaluate vendor capabilities and provide recommendations for adoption in our flows. Be responsible for designing, deploying and testing efficiency of tools to utilize in achieving design goals and collaborating with design teams on methodology development. Minimum Qualifications:- MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.- 2+ years experience with layout and design verification tools (ICV runsets, StarRC extraction) Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in Layout, Runsets and Extraction, especially in understanding and resolving LVS (Standard and Extraction) Programming skills and experience developing/supporting design flows will be an added advantage
