Technical Support Engineer (m/f)

Job Description

Intel Security has amazing opportunities ahead!  In the next several months, we anticipate transitioning to a stand-alone company.  This will help to position us as one of the largest pure-play cybersecurity companies in the world.  During this transition, we will continue to have a bold vision to achieve, which we can’t achieve without talented people.

This technical support team provides product and solution orientated support to partners and end customers of Intel Security's Web Protection product family. The engineers work with customers and partners through different channels such as phone, e-mail and remote access to help them resolve issues with our products and maximize their investments in our products. As everyone in the team is made a product specialist, documenting problems and solutions and making these available to peers and other teams around the globe is daily business. We are also working with other departments like Engineering and Knowledge Management to help closing our product enhancement cycle.

What you’ll do:

  • Be a product specialist for our Web Protection Suit
  • Support small, medium and large corporations as well as public sector clients
  • Provide full life cycle support from initial service request to solving and closing the case.
  • Handling the communication with client at an extremely professional level at all times.
  • Technical support and network troubleshooting
  • Enablement work; collect and distribute knowledge, writing white papers etc.

Must have:

  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills
  • Experienced with maintaining and troubleshooting Unix/Linux systems
  • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, SSL, HTTP
  • Advanced knowledge of network analysis and troubleshooting tools and related hands-on experience
  • Strong problem-solving and solution-testing capabilities
  • Fluent in English (Verbal and written)
  • Professional training as an IT Specialist for System Integration/Application Development (Fachinformatiker_in Fachrichtung Systemintegration/Anwendungsentwicklung)

Nice to have:

  • German language skills
  • Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Sciences along with relevant job experience
