Technical Account Manager - Industrial

Job Description
This is a commissioned sales position in Intel's Regional Sales Group (RSG) responsible for managing the technical relationship between Intel and strategic industrial OEM customers. This represents an exciting opportunity to grow business in new markets aligned with Intel's corporate growth strategy! The scope of this position includes enablement for industrial, manufacturing and energy OEM customers. The ideal candidate is responsible for all technical elements of the customer engagement and is expected to drive the inclusion of Intel products and services into various designs and solutions. This individual will collaborate with the Strategic Account Manager and others at Intel and in the ecosystem to provide the optimal Intel recommended solution that meets the product specifications. Success is measured by meeting or exceeding assigned annual billings and design win quotas in concert with the Strategic Account Manager. Responsibilities also include communicating strategies to the appropriate sales and product division personnel to obtain any required support and coordination for individual customers.


Required Qualifications and Experience: *BS or MS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science *5+ years technical sales or customer facing experience with an established track record of exceeding plan over multiple years *Self-motivated and able to work and prioritize independently with focus on output *Demonstrated experience enabling solutions in one or more of the following areas: CPU and microcontroller design enablement for PLC, HMI, I/O Control and Process Control; Comms/M2M, data movement and aggregation, critical infrastructure security, functional safety, software enablement, big data architecture and sensor technologies *Team player with a demonstrated ability to work across organizations and with fellow travelers to architect account strategies and create win/win situations for the customer *An established network of customers, suppliers and partners required to enable and scale designs for industrial, manufacturing and energy markets *Located major metropolitan area in the Midwest USA with the ability to travel ~30% of the time Strongly Desired: *Strong understanding of Intel's business units and go to market strategy, which includes working with components, systems and software to drive Intel-based solutions through Intel's OEM customers *Demonstrated knowledge of industrial protocols (PROFIBUS, CAN, Modbus RTU, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/IP, IEEE 1588, etc) and how they relate to industrial system architectures *Experience architecting data movement from intelligent edge devices to the cloud, including comms, edge-cloud interfaces, horizontal analytics capabilities and security considerations *Visible passion for technology, including an energizing appetite for creating and innovating that inspires customers and fellow team membersID#: I0995
