Integral to this are external collaborations and partnerships with Industry as well as within the Scientific Research community. Israel's Industrial and Academic arena holds great potential for such collaboration, in particular in the fields of new materials and material systems, future devices, innovative processes and methods, physical and chemical characterization. This territory must be explored, charted and mapped to Intel's needs in order to identify, prioritize and drive opportunities for valuable collaborations. In this position, the suitable candidate will be responsible for: charting the relevant Israel Industrial and Academic RDI arena; establishing the means to maintain a vibrant hand on pulse of emerging and ongoing scientific, technology and business developments; developing and articulating Science and Technology acumen and Business Development intelligence; understanding the relation to Intel technology challenges and potential interests; identifying, flagging and supporting opportunities through various business tools.

The suitable candidate will be an M.Sc. or PhD student of Material Science and Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Solid State Physics/ Electrical Engineering or other relevant field of study, with a minimum of 18 months remaining to completion of degree.
A minimum of 90 hours a month will be expected, typically distributed across 2-3 (08:00-17:00) days a week.
Office space and utilities will be provided at an Intel Israel Campus. For convenience and efficiency, it is recommended that the suitable candidate plan to work from Intel PTK offices.
A strong understanding of Electronic and Magnetic Materials, nanotechnology and Device Physics are necessary.
Background in Semiconductor fabrication/ process engineering would be an advantage.
Fluent English (and Hebrew) skills are necessary, with emphasis on the ability to rapidly and effectively search, read, understand and process scientific publications and reports.
The position requires office/computer-based work such as searches, data collection and integration.
The candidate will be required to create and maintain an electronic knowledge -capture-retain-maintain file/system.
The role requires travelling and networking throughout Israel.
The suitable candidate should therefore have a valid driver's license and be prepared to drive throughout Israel.
Effective Technical reporting and presentation preparation skills are required.
Responsibilities demand the ability to self-pace work, initiate, work independently as well as network effectively with others.
Guidance and supervision will be provided by the EMEA Manager of Supplier Technology and Industry Development, based in Israel.
