Sr. Python Test Framework Engineer

Job Description
Job Description: You will be responsible for the design and development of advanced software tools and development frameworks to enable testing and validation of Intel SSDs (Solid-State Drives) based on advanced 3D-NAND and 3D XPoint™ Technology. You will develop enhancements to enable efficient test development and promote maximum test reuse across SSD programs while preserving a highly maintainable and extensible code base. To be successful in this role, you should have a demonstrated understanding of disciplined software development practices including requirements analysis, software architecture and design, unit testing, continuous integration and debugging. Object oriented design and development techniques are used extensively. We use C++ v11 with advanced features such as smart pointers and the Standard Template Library. The externally-facing development frameworks are developed in Python which make calls into C++ libraries.


You should possess the following minimum qualifications. * BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience * At least 5 years of experience in the design and development of object-oriented solutions (C++ preferred) * Experienced in standard software development processes covering the full lifecycle such as requirements analysis, estimation.* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving environment and self-manage your own workload through effective multi-tasking, prioritization of tasks and clearly setting expectations with management and key stakeholders * Excellence in communicating both in oral and written form to both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Excels at complex problem solving Additional Qualifications:* Familiarity with storage interface specifications (ATA/SCSI/NVMe) * Proficient in Python OO development * Developing OO in both Linux and Windows environments * Experienced in troubleshooting and root-causing incorrect behaviors in systems with complex hardware, software and firmware components
