FPGA Design Engineer

The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is looking for talented, highly motivated candidates to work intimately with our lead customers to co-develop FPGA based Autonomous Driving systems. Working alongside Intel processors, the FPGA is delivering a highly efficient, flexible and scalable platform to solve our automotive customers’ intricate processing challenges.

You will work and collaborate in a rapid learning environment, alongside industry experts and the most innovative automotive manufacturers to accelerate next generation autonomous driving algorithms through highly optimized embedded FPGA implementations. Technical development will be varied, including High Level Synthesis, RTL design, High-Speed serial interfaces, memory interfaces and full lifecycle development (including design, verification, debug. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to implement and efficiently map complex system to FPGA based platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Hands on Verilog or VHDL firmware development, timing-closure and board-level troubleshooting targeting FPGA.
• Development of High-Level Synthesis Board Support Packages (BSP) for key customer platforms, while communicating directly with customers.
• Develop and deliver benchmarks, proof-of-concept and solutions, demonstrating the value of the FPGA.
• Collaborate with other engineering and support groups within PSG and across Intel on FPGA implementation and BSP development.
• Work in close collaboration with the Intel FPGA High-Level Design tools team to drive new features and improvements.
