Engineering Technician

Job Description
Engineering Technician perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. May also perform setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment. Assignments are semiroutine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.


Qualifications

Minimum Associates degree or military experience required. Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex manufacturing equipment required. Ability to read schematics a plus. Must be self motivated and work well in a team. Position requires standing, reaching, and bending on a daily basis. Must be able to don a cleanroom suit and lift up to 30 pounds. Candidates with a high level of mechanical aptitude are preferred.
