SW Engineer - FPGA compilation and modeling

Job Description

Intel Programmable Solutions Group is looking for talented software developers to help develop and improve Intel's Quartus Prime FPGA design software.FPGA's are programmable hardware devices that provide a leading-edge platform for acceleration of computation, including network communications, video processing and machine learning applications. The task of matching a problem set to the configurable FPGA fabric requires solving several complex and NP-complete partitioning, placement and routing problems. Modeling an FPGA device efficiently, while exposing the full flexibility of the underlying programmable hardware in a sensible way to our customers, also exposes lots of interesting design and usability challenges.In this role you will help develop faster and better algorithms to solve these problems, while also working with our internal hardware teams, and external customers, to bring new FPGA products to the market as quickly as possible and with high quality.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
BaSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a similar field,
3 years of additional education or external experience solving interesting problems-Experience with algorithm development and/or software optimization

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of C++, including latest language revisions- Experience with scripting languages like Python- Background with FPGA or ASIC design methodologies Verilog/VHDL, hardware simulation, CAD SW
