Western Europe Financial Accountant

Job Description

You will be a member of the UK based Accounting team which is part of the EMEA Corporate Finance organisation. Beyond the EMEA Corporate Finance team, you will collaborate closely with our Malaysia Shared Service Center, local Tax and legal teams, together with engagements with global colleagues across worldwide Intel. In this position, your core tasks will encompass but are not limited to:- Preparing the local financial records and statutory accounts for multiple Intel entities according to local GAAP- Managing the annual statutory audits- Partnering with tax in responding and closing all Tax / other Regulatory Audits- Ensuring fiduciary compliance including VAT, European Sales listing and withholding tax- Working closely with the tax department on local tax and VAT audits- Ensuring accounting compliance with specific attention to pensions, Profit share arrangements, government grants & RnD subsidies, transfer pricing, fixed assets, local taxes- Supporting M&A Activity in the Region- Optimizing internal controls and improving internal processes- Proactively considering the Accounting impacts from changes to Intel's Business or country regulations, and helping optimize our operations.- Working closely with the respective management and Operations Finance Teams in the Region- Liaising with a wide range of business partners including tax, legal, treasury, corporate services, human resources, R&D management


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications & attributes are important:- Relevant higher Education Qualification + a recognized accounting qualificationKnowledge and practical experience of applying at least one Western European GAAPs - Fluent in both English and at least one of, French, Italian, Spanish.- Five years or more of working experience- Work experience in an international company and / or an accounting firm would be a benefit- Good working knowledge of SAP & MS Office programs. Experience of Navision a benefit.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently- A team player with an ability to collaborate well with others from different departments, backgrounds and regions
