RF/Mixed Signal Software Engineer

Job Description

Intel is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with RF/Mixed Signal test expertise in our Product Tester Technology Development team.

Job responsibilities include translating customer requirements into Object Oriented SW design, SW implementation, SW validation, Integration, debug and characterization of the SW performance in conjunction with the tester HW. The High Density Modular Tester HDMT provides a breakthrough, massively parallel, low cost test technology for silicon validation and high volume manufacturing. We are currently developing the next generation of the HDMT tester, including significant HW and SW architectural changes above and beyond current generation ATE, that will enable a universal "tester cell" infrastructure and provide the best user experience for Intel Product Development community. The team includes all aspects of HW and SW development of the tester.

You will be working with 70+ software engineers to develop the runtime software and interactive tools for the HDMT tester. Our HDMT software development engineers have the opportunity to contribute to the entire tester operating software stack & ecosystem such as PCIe/USB Windows drivers, C++ data structure/compiler, API, GUI, etc. We're looking for experienced software engineers with very strong software development hands-on experience, who are motivated to seeing their creative solutions used to test by billions of Intel devices in the next decade.

SW Technical Skills: Mixed Signal RF/Analog Applications, Software & Test Methods: Domain expertise in Mixed Signal, RF and Analog product application testing on Semiconductor ATE testers like Verigy 93K or NI or Keysight bench systems is highly desired. 

Understanding the basics & measurement metrics of RF systems & Analog is needed. Candidate should understand both Cellular & wireless standards.  The candidate would need to know the various modulation schemes and the ability to analyze performance data to judge the demodulation metrics like EVM. Experience in analog calibration schemes is highly desirable.

Software Architecture Practices: Candidate must be able to collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications, use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product, develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility and Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards, and ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.

Configuration management experience: Be able to ensure the integrity, reliability and reproducibility of our internally and externally developed software products from conception to release. We do this by providing enterprise SCM tools like Git, Subversion, Visual SourceSafe, Perforce and Team Foundation Server, and providing technical software development standards around software building by providing tools that consistently build, package, report on, and ensure the integrity of our developed software products throughout all environments.

Software Security Experience:  Experience in all processes necessary to delivering software while protecting Intellectual Property and all compliance requirements. This includes Code Scanning, Code Signing, Obfuscation, and package integrity. Candidate must be able to design and implement, test and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture, perform on-going security testing and code review to improve software security, and provide engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities


Qualifications

Qualifications: You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Possess 5+ years of hands-on experience on the following areas:
Working in RF/Mixed Signal product test
.NET and Visual Studio
C++, C, C coding skills
- Possess -3+ years of experience in the following areas:
Agile/Scrum environment
Script languages such as Perl and Python
Windows Presentation Foundation WPF
Windows Communication Foundation WCF
Software Security

Additional qualifications
- Strong leadership, teamwork and communications skills - Strong technical problem solving skills
- Direct customer interaction for requirements and issue resolution
