InfoSec Systems Engineer

Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in Information Security? We are looking for a new engineer to help up design, build, and integrate applications into endpoint security platform to support Intel's business needs. You will be responsible for platform support, application packaging and deployment that meets IT standards. There is a need to understand various client and/or server architectural blueprints, operating system build, system patching, system management & auditing automation, as well as server build processes. You will also need to understand the integration of other technologies and logical controls such as external application landing zones DMZ, Network Load Balancing NLB, Storage Area Networks SAN, Network Area Storage NAS, clusters, High Availability and redundancy and Business Continuity Planning. You will use these skills to provide security services to both internal and externally facing applications. You will be expected to interact with customers, IT partners, system architects, product managers, design engineers, service and support teams.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Help evaluate and develop security solutions to secure Intel's presence in internal and public clouds.- Integrate host security solutions with enterprise applications and other internal security capabilities.- Assist interfacing with vendors to understand technical product roadmap, new capabilities and trouble-shooting ongoing issues.- Script writing for automation and integration.- Resolve problems that have been identified due to incident trends or major incidents - Respond to escalation of issues.- Create documentation How to, BKM and processes for peers and operation support teams.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must possess a Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science- Basic knowledge in Windows Server OS administration, networking, configuration and troubleshooting.- Basic knowledge in SQL Server administration, configuration and troubleshooting.- Basic programming skills in Perl, Python and PowerShell.- Basic multi-technologies integration and solution architecture skills- Good problem-solving skills and a self-starter.- Good communication skills.- Ability to work effectively in a cross-site team environment.Additional Preferred Qualifications: - Linux/Unix Systems Administration.- Knowledge in Server Hardware, Storage Devices SAN/NAS and Virtual Platforms VSphere, Hyper-V, etc..- Understand threats and vulnerabilities from global awareness and client situation specific perspectives.- CISSP, GSEC or other security certifications a plus.
