Digital Specialist

Job Description

The Digital Specialist is an integral part of the Human Resources organization and responsible for the day to day management and execution of the HR digital strategy to both current and potential employees. The candidate will create innovate digital campaigns – from conception to execution and measurement – to support talent acquisition efforts and drive employee engagement for strategic HR initiatives.

The individual will be an active participant in social networks and a digital native. This role requires direct, hands-on participation in social networks and a strong personal interest in social media, web culture, design, digital marketing, and strategic communications. The available possibilities for digital/social media are constantly evolving and this role requires someone who gets excited about not just keeping up, but staying a step ahead.

Strategic thinking, ideation and content activation across multiple social channels and digital properties are central to this role. The candidate will also have strong visual communications skills and be able to develop campaigns with video and graphics as core elements.

This candidate will report into our HR communications manager and serve as the subject matter expert to the HR organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in media/journalism, marketing, advertising, business or equivalent experience
  • Five years’ social / digital media experience in-house or agency side

Skills:

  • Strong multi-media skills with an emphasis on video, including experience and knowledge of video editing software
  • Basic-level knowledge and experience of design programs like Photoshop and InDesign
  • Experience / working knowledge of social media planning, publishing and analytics tools (e.g. Spredfast, Sprinklr or similar)
  • Creative writing, copy editing required
  • Must be a self-starter with strong problem solving and decision-making skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and stakeholders simultaneously and maintain self-assurance through difficult situations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
