Software Quality Engineer

Job Description
The Production Operations Engineering Group produce systems that compile, test and release daily content updates to millions of customers around the world. These systems need to deliver high testing coverage and perform reliably so that we can release consistently every day. This function is crucial to the protection and safety of Intel Security's customers. Reliability, Safety and Quality are key values within the group as the function has a significant and immediate effect on the protection of our customers. As a Software Quality Engineer you will be involved in all aspects of the Software development cycle. You will be expected to be involved in shaping requirements, design reviews, code reviews, writing test plans, executing test cases manually and with automation and providing results and feedback on the quality of the tested product. You will need to be able to work in a fast moving team and will need to be able to adapt and change focus to different projects as there are multiple systems under test within the Production Operation Engineering group.

Qualifications

Must have - Knowledge of software quality process, Software QA experience, Experience with developing or implementing test automation. Familiarity with analysis of software requirements, able to design functional and non-functional tests. Good communication skills - fluent written and verbal English, Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, Python etc. Be able to collaborate well with developers, QA and Operational Team members. Willing to take initiative and solve problems for themselves, working as sole QA on some projects. Be curious and willing to ask questions to continue learning about the systems being tested Be diligent and have an eye for detail to ensure products are tested to the highest level of quality.Nice to have - Desirable experience of working with Test Automation frameworks e.g. Robot Framework, Selenium Desirable knowledge of working in an 'Agile' environment and following Scrum methodology.
