Commodity Manager

Job Description
Job Description: The Sensor Commodity Manager will be responsible for supplier management responsibilities and commercial negotiations for Integrated and Emerging Technology IET Sensor suppliers from both an industry enabling standpoint as well as direct sourcing for revenue products across a variety of Intel business groups, including Client Computing Group CCG, New Devices Group NDG, Internet of Things IOT and others. Commodity manager will develop and lead supply chain strategies with current and new suppliers. Lead partner organizations in business and commercial strategies. The job requires candidate to acquire and maintain technical understanding of products purchased and develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Responsibilities include cost monitoring analysis and reduction, component schedules and development of components to support business unit partners. In addition role will partner with business unit stakeholders to enable key technologies with identified supply base, and will manage the supplier relationship and performance as the single point of contact for Intel. Responsible for aligning supplier roadmaps, environmental compliance, and capacity with partner organizations and internal stakeholders. Additionally for enabling activities, role will require working with potential technology partners to help accelerate technology adoption, user experience, availability and cost reduction opportunities for critical sensor system components that are used on Intel based devices. Successful candidates should be able to define, establish and articulate deal structures and business models comprehending intellectual property concerns, licensing scope, statements of work, etc. as appropriate for the supply chain as well as articulate concept value to senior leaders and stakeholders. Contribute to supply chain strategy development or other strategic projects as appropriate.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:MBA with BS in Business Management or Engineering5+ years of experience in business development, legal terms, statement of work creation, supply chain management/commodity management, and/or engineering.5+ years proven experience managing suppliers and engaging, influencing and managing internal and external senior level relationships.Demonstrated ability to partner with technical counterparts to initiate and lead complex business transactions by developing deal concepts and negotiation plans, leading negotiations and coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders and decision makers. Additional Requirements: History of high performance excellence. A high tolerance for ambiguity.Previous user experience knowledge in the areas of sensor technologies. Expert negotiator with wide range of experience negotiating complex and unique agreements with suppliers. Proven ability to diplomatically engage suppliers and stakeholders on sensitive topics Ability to guide a diverse team including members from legal, business unit, tax and others throughout business negotiations. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multicultural team environment.
