Solutions Architect - Consumer Security

Job Description

The Solution Architect (SA) is responsible for developing and managing partner portfolios. Within Intel Security ISecG, Consumer Division, the SA is expected to effectively serve as both a business manager and a technical implementation lead. To achieve joint partner and ISecG program goals, the SA is required to resolve problems and remove obstacles that may diminish business success by demonstrating strong communication, coordination and creative problem solving expertise. The SA will work on a range of diverse partner implementation projects, requiring the detailed definition of published release requirements PRDs, matrix team management, partner interactions, and the engagement of appropriate ISecG resources including business development, project management, application engineering, release engineering, web services, and customer/technical support.

Responsibilities:- Lead pre-sales efforts by working closely with business team and focus on technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects and assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals- Bring industry knowledge and years of technology experience to aid in technical selling, explaining features/benefits and design products to meet specific needs. Effectively drive the implementation of key field requirements within the organization.- Operate as Consumer Security technology expert and thought leader internally and externally in Intel Security. Participate and provide consultative support in areas of specialization to other Solution Architects.- Expose, influence, collect and document partner requirements to drive a clear and smooth execution of the product delivery.- Fully accountable of the product sales and delivery cycle from pre-sales to plan commit.


Qualifications

The Solution Architect (SA) will possess a diverse skill-set, including both a technical understanding of the Internet, consumer security software anti-virus, firewall and anti-spam solutions, networking, mobile security software and marketing expertise.

Requirements:- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or similar.- 5+ years of technical experience in networking- 5+ years in customer facing technical role- Systems knowledge: Windows, Cisco Systems, Unix, Android- Knowledge of L2/L3 topology design and protocol implementations being deployed in ISPs network Routers, Switches, CPEs, Firewall, IPv4/6, DNS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, PPP, Radius and IP based services.- Knowledge of programming languages: Java, Perl, Shell scriptExcellent written, presentation and analytic skills are required to manage the day-to-day operations of a partnership portfolio. The SA role includes researching, validating, and prioritizing implementation requirements, documenting market and product requirements and evangelizing the partner management program within the internal organizations. The SA must also apply the above skill-set to assess and recommend partner requested product requirements and enhancements to product managers, program optimization opportunities to business development representatives and partner marketers, and the need for architectural modifications to engineering. The SA will manage and analyze ongoing business relationships in tandem with Business Development managers to optimize registrations, trial-to-paid conversions, and up-sells as well as support data analysis for customer retention and customer experience improvements.The SA may on occasion be requested by management to conduct special product management projects that may have direct or indirect relevance to a partnership development.
