This role involves responsibility for managing the day to day activities of the Legal entities within Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all of the accounting and reporting impacts for 3 Irish legal entities in addition to the Dutch entity Lawdan . The role involves managing both the US GAAP impacts and the local GAAP statutory impacts .The successful candidate will own key accounting elements of the Intel Ireland Branch, including partnering with MSSC .Global accounting leadership is also a critical element ,the successful candidate will be a global Level 1 process owner under BPM . In addition strong partnering with the M&A team is needed to identify statutory impacts of any local M&A’s. The successful candidate will need strong technical accounting knowledge across all vectors and strong knowledge of Intel’s accounting policies and close procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the close processes across the statutory entities .This includes managing, preparing and presenting the Quarterly FSR, managing the QBR process with MSSC and ensuring all close procedures are managed.
  • Responsibility for key elements of the Intel Ireland branch close processes
  • Managing and facilitating the relationship with the MSSC who perform a lot of the day to day transactional activities.
  • Responsible for the accounting of critical technical areas under Local GAAP, e.g. leasing, , debt structure, deferred tax and legal entity restructures
  • Responsibility for leading a GAFS global project team as an L1, to deliver unified global consistent processes for global GAFS.
  • Responsible for managing the relationship with external auditors and internal audit, including responsibility for each of the local statutory audits and their statutory filings.
  • Responsibility for managing the local statutory transition to NaVision.
  • Responsibility for partnering with Corporate Legal on changes to Companies Acts and filing requirements for the statutory entities.
  • Partnering with M&A team on M&A roadmap and identifying local statutory impacts of M&A entities.
  • Responsible for business partnering with other business groups e.g. Treasury, GTT, ops finance to understand the site business roadmap, any emerging new business and identify the technical accounting issues and provide accounting recommendations to the accounting issues.

Key Skills for a successful candidate:

Candidate should be a qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ experience,

Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP needed with an

ability to research accounting issues and translate into recommendations.

Previous accounting experience and knowledge of IFRS a plus.

Ability to work autonomously

Will need strong technical knowledge to support multiple legal entity re-structures

Strong business partnering and influencing skills

Clear communication skills both written and verbal at all levels and especially with senior management

Strong leadership and ability to lead global project teams.
