Global Technical Sales Director

Job Description

In the Communications market Intel's opportunity to grow depends on our ability to convert legacy solutions to Intel based platforms. This is done through our design win program. Over the last years we have won significant share and our plans are to accelerate this over the coming years. We have a very strong traction for our 4:1 and Network cloud strategies. Comms and network is called out as one of the critical growth pillars of the Intel Datacenter group.

The Technical Sales Director is together with the DCG (Data Centre Group) Sales team responsible for defining our OEM design win strategy in the comms market. The successful candidate will work in partnership with our Global Account teams for TEM, MNC, ODM, as well as partners in Network Products Group and wider Data Center Group to set goals and implement programs that paves the way for customers and account teams to win with Intel solutions.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

  • Setting targets and aligning account strategies to DCG/NPG (Network Products Group) priorities and securing alignment with other Business groups
  • Recommending and executing invest strategies across customer base
  • Developing methodologies for correlating design win to revenue, in partnership with Finance & Operational teams
  • Owning review process and structuring documentation requirements across all account teams. Intel uses Salesforce.com as our customer relationship CRM database.
  • Prioritising technical support including Sampling and Early Access.
  • Analysing and building a report mechanism for improvement of market engagement.


Qualifications

5-10 years of Telecom industry experience or equivalent
Understanding of Telecom Technologies
Demonstrated skill in sales forecasting
Analytical skills required
Highly organised and detail-oriented
Able to work globally with multi-cultural teams including International Business travel
Exceptional ability to synthesize data into comprehensive reports for all levels of staff
Strong leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal Communication
Bachelor degree in relevant disciplines (for example Sales, Marketing, Business, Engineering)
