Design Productivity Solution Engineer 2017

Job Description

Designs, builds, and integrates applications and platforms to support Intel's business needs. Responsible for application packaging deployment that meets IT standards. Responsible for understanding various client and/or server architectural blueprints, operating system build technologies, system patching, system management & auditing automation, as well as server build processes. Designs and appropriately builds out all environments, which includes use of external application landing zones DMZ, Network Load Balancing NLB, Storage Area Networks SAN, Microsoft OS and SQL clusters, and data encryption. Provides these services on both internal and externally facing applications, and interacts with customers, IT partners, system architects, product managers, design engineers, service and support teams, and other system users who require input regarding their planned or existing system.


Qualifications

The employee with be Part of IT Engineering Computing Productivity Solutions team, delivering IT Services/Solutions to Intel Design and Engineering teams. The candidate will be primarily involved in Supporting and Optimizing Enterprise Scheduler and Productivity Capabilities for Design Computing and Emulation workloads. Additionally developing manageability/automation tools to increase utilization of Compute and Emulation resources, root-cause and remove any computing infrastructure bottlenecks. The scope includes working with Design Teams across the globe.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:
- The candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or any related field.
- The candidate must be proficient in Perl or Python
- The candidate must have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ months of experience in server architectural blueprints, operating system build technologies, system patching, system management & auditing automation.
- 6+ months of experience in DMZ, Network Load Balancing NLB, Storage Area Networks SAN, Microsoft OS and SQL clusters, and data encryption
