Project Engineering Role: The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and design of Electrical systems for multiple projects of varying complexity. The specific scope of work includes taking various levels of responsibility for, and participation in the development of project scope, budget, and schedule.

The Project Engineer will provide technical direction to outside A&E firms throughout the project design phase, interface with site user groups, other engineering disciplines, local municipalities/utilities, trade contractors, and other project stakeholders. The Project Engineer will ensure that the work is being performed in a Code compliant manner and in adherence with Intel policies and expectations.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge /understanding of control methods for Electrical systems. Developing and implementing effective safety by design practices into all aspects of the Intel's business will be key in this role. Engineering troubleshooting systems and/or designs to develop solutions for expansion, enhancement or performance will also be required. The Project Engineer owns development of effective Electrical design deliverables to support all aspects of construction and must be able to develop and implement innovative engineering and design methodologies to support very aggressive program cost and construction schedules.

This person will support Request for Proposal (RFP) development for all external consultants and contract work required to develop the required engineering and design deliverables; ensuring Electrical deliverables are accounted for in RFP.

The Project Engineer will also be responsible for performing conceptual Electrical engineering analysis for multiple scenarios that can include high level schedule and/or budget development to help customers and stakeholders make critical business decisions based on time and cost constraints. The ideal candidate must be proficient in reading and interpreting construction contract documents.

The Project Engineer will own the management of Electrical discipline leads (external contract workforce) contracted to develop the required engineering and design deliverables. This person will be responsible for effectively interacting with several internal engineering organizations to influence design standards, construction specifications, and operations requirements to ensure these enable construction to meet its success metrics.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- PE license
- 10 years experience with construction, startup, and turnover of facilities process systems is valued - 10 years experience with Electrical power distribution systems
- 10+ years' experience in design and construction of process systems inclusive of:
- Strong technical expertise in Electrical engineering and ability to provide tactical direction to a large engineering team, both direct and matrix report
- Ability to effectively communicate technical engineering and design information and solutions to a wide audience of stakeholders such as manufacturing customers, Technology Development, Project Managers, Construction Managers and contractors.
- Proven track record of Leading the Electrical engineering and design of large complex technical facilities and equipment installation construction projects in high tech industries, preferably semiconductor
- Applicants must have a legal right to work in the US without sponsorship

Additional Qualifications:
- Master's degree n Electrical Engineering or equivalent is preferred
- Construction Project Management experience is a plus
- Experience with facility management systems is a plus
- Experience with Life Safety and security systems is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate technical engineering and design information and solutions to a wide audience of stakeholders such as manufacturing customers, Technology Development, Project Managers, Construction Managers and contractors.
- Proven track record of Leading the Electrical engineering and design of large complex technical facilities and equipment installation construction projects in high tech industries, preferably semiconductor

Additional Qualifications:
- Construction Project Management experience is a plus
- Experience working across functional and organizational boundaries
- Experience with facility management systems is a plus
- Experience with Life Safety and security systems is a plus
- Specific knowledge of semi-conductor industry or other clean environment industries (ex. pharmaceutical, solar) is considered a plus
